Columbus City Council is helping to boost local service organizations, allocating more than $600,000 total in funds at Tuesday night’s meeting. Council members voted to approve $376,066 to Neighborworks Columbus, Inc. Most of that money will go to the Columbus Cottage Program, providing a new home every year for an elderly person who has an unsafe home and cannot afford to repair it.
