Singer Mary J Blige has filed for divorce from hubby of 12 years Kendu Issacs. The couple who married back in 2003 have no children together. In court documents Mary cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She is asking a judge to block Kendu from receiving spousal support. Mary’s rep released a statement confirming the divorce saying:
Ms. Blige is saddened to say [that] it is true that she has filed for divorce, saying sometimes things don’t work how we hoped they would… but, there is a divine plan and a reason for everything. Mary will continue writing and working on her album, which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time.
No word from Kendu who also serves as Mary’s manager!! I wonder how that will play out.
